AlliancePro AA-PTM Interface
AlliancePro users now have another way to have
“new orders” automatically appear
in their order screen.
Today, November 11, 2011, we will release an upgrade to the Sylectus Active Aero Premium Transportation Management (AA-PTM) interface.
Sylectus continues to enhance our technology offerings to improve your
productivity, improve your customer service, reduce your
manual workload, improve your profitability, provide you
with more business opportunities and provide you with a
sustainable, competitive advantage.
How does this automated Sylectus AA-PTM interface work?
Any AlliancePro or AllianceVF companies who subscribe
to our AA-PTM interface will have the following features available to them.
- A setup screen to establish the rules of how communication flows between their Sylectus account and AA-PTM.
- Any load awarded to the Sylectus subscriber from AA-PTM will automatically populate into the “Available Loads” screen in the Sylectus system. These loads will be displayed as “customer submitted” status similar to how VF, NLM and EDI loads currently auto-populate the available loads system.
- If the load does not automatically transfer from AA-PTM to Sylectus, the users will have the ability to enter the AA-PTM order number and “pull” the load information into the Sylectus system.
- When the load is automatically copied into the Sylectus system, you will have a link in the “managed orders” screen to either ACCEPT or REJECT the awarded AA-PTM load.
- All pertinent load information such as dates, times, pieces, weight, locations, etc. will automatically be copied from the AA-PTM site to the Sylectus available load screen.
- As the Sylectus company executes the AA-PTM load (dispatch, arrive shipper, loaded, arrive consignee, empty, etc.), the data will automatically flow back to AA-PTM to update their site.
- If an order note is created for an AA-PTM load in the Sylectus system, the user has the ability to automatically send the order note information back to AA-PTM.
The benefits of the AA-PTM interface are as follows:
- Improved operational efficiency since users no longer need to manually enter AA-PTM awarded loads into the Sylectus system.
- Improved operational accuracy since data is automatically copied from AA-PTM into Sylectus.
- Improved operational efficiency since trip status information (arrive, load, empty, notes, etc.) flows automatically back to AA-PTM without having to make phone calls, send e-mails or manually update the AA-PTM site.
- Improved customer service since AA-PTM will be automatically kept updated on the status of the loads you are performing for them.
- The potential to get more business from AA-PTM since they may favor companies using the automated interface.
- Opportunity to get more business since the AA-PTM loads are automated. Your operations staff are freed up to do other tasks.
How do you set up the new features of the AA-PTM interface?
- For those of you familiar with the Sylectus NLM interface, the Sylectus AA-PTM interface setup is very similar. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our office at 519-972-1272 and one of our friendly staff will be more than happy to assist you.
- In your customer profiles, find the “Bill To” customer record for AA-PTM. Create a “customer contact” called “Web Page” and set the “event notifications” to be “automatic by EDI/Internet”.
- Go to main menu “XML/EDI” and sub menu “XML Set-Up”. Choose “Active Aero” as the “Integrator” and set the “Integrator Customer ID”, Integrator Contact” and define how you want the events (arrive, load, empty, etc.) to flow back to AA-PTM. Save your settings.
If I do not subscribe to the Sylectus AA-PTM interface, how can I get access?
- First, you must be an approved carrier with Active Aero PTM. To become an approved carrier, please contact Ms. Sharon Harding at 734-547-7327 or email her at sharding@activeaero.com.
- Once you are an approved Active Aero PTM carrier, you must then subscribe to our Sylectus AA-PTM interface. Please contact Sylectus at 519-972-1272 or email sales@sylectus.com to get pricing. Sylectus will set up the interface (we will apply for credentials to activate the automatic interface) and then assist you in setting up the default parameters and provide some basic training.
