We have made our "Fleet Mapping" tool even more powerful by adding the ability to map your TRAILER locations.

Now you can visually see where your resources (trucks and trailers) are located as well as your "available" loads in one quick, easy to use visual screen.

Here is a sample screen shot of how the enhanced screen looks:

To use this tool, do the following:

  1. Go to main menu FLEETS
  2. Choose the "Fleet Mapping" option. A new window will open up where you can select your options.
  3. Select which Trucks, Trailers and Load types you want to show on the map.
    1. For trucks, INS = In Server, UNC = Unconfirmed In Server, OOS = Out of Service, OAL = On a Load
    2. For trailers, INS = Unhooked In Service, INS/FOB = Unhooked In Service with Freight on Board, OOS = Unhooked Out of Service, Hooked = Hooked to Truck
    3. For Loads, PU > 2 hrs = Pick up is more than 2 hours away, PU <= 2 hours = Pick up is within next 2 hours, Late PU = Pick up is overdue.
  4. Choose the icon types you want to use for each of the Truck, Trailer and Load
  5. Click the "Show Map" icon.

The resulting Google map will show the locations and status of all your key resources (trucks and trailers) and your available loads. All standard Google map features apply.

This makes it very easy to see:

  • Stranded trucks
  • Available loads that have no truck nearby
  • Stranded trailers
  • Your core business area
  • And much more.

If you need more information about any of the icons on the map, you can "drill down" on the icon to see truck details (dimensions, payload, driver, etc.), trailer details (dimensions, etc.) or loads (customers, dates, times, commodity, etc.).
