Flat Fee Analysis in Routing Calculator

Thanks to Nick Connor from VIP Logistics for suggesting a "Flat Fee" Analysis in the "Routing Calculator".

Nick wanted the ability to enter a "Flat Amount" and have the system calculate the "Per Mile" rate when entering information into the "Routing Calculator" screen.

The "Routing Calculator" can be found by going to main menu DISPATCH and sub-menu "Routing Calculator". From this screen, you can enter up to 10 stops and for 3 different vehicle classes, enter a "rate per mile" and now a "Flat Rate". The system will then

  • Calculate the distance between each stop.
  • Calculate the cost of each stop.
  • Calculate the time to run between each stop using your "average vehicle speed by truck class".
  • Calculate data for EACH STOP as well as RUNNING TOTALS for all stops.
  • Calculate the total miles, running time, cost and cost per mile (if you enter flat fees).
  • Show a map of the selected route.

      • You can also run the route using:

    • PC Miler practical or shortest or "air miles" (PC Miler routing is only provided for companies with a valid PC Miler license).
    • Borders Open or Closed
    • Optimized or non-optimized routing
