Truckload and Less-Than-Truckload Lane Posting System

For years, Sylectus (a division of GPSNet Technologies Inc.) has provided an Expedite Load and Available truck posting system for their subscribers. However, we continually get asked to provide a more "generic" lane-posting solution to support our growing base of Truckload and LTL subscribers.

Today we introduce the "Truckload and LTL Lane Posting System" with the following benefits:

  1. The ability to post available generic truck lanes either as a complete Truck Load or Less than Truckload or both. This helps companies fill back hauls and balance their truckload lanes.
  2. The ability to post available scheduled loads (lanes of business). Until now, this was only done through an internal Sylectus email system.
  3. The ability to search for available truck lanes or available load lanes.

To access this new posting program, go to main menu ORDERS and sub-menu TL/LTL Lanes.

When posting a truck, you can specify:
  • Starting and ending location of available truck lane.
  • The type of equipment (Tractor, flatbed, etc.)
  • The type of services available with the truck (team, straps, blankets, etc.)
  • How much free space (in linear feet)
  • The rate you would charge (per mile) for the use of the truck
  • The schedule (days of week) the truck will be available for use.
When posting a load, you can specify:
  • Starting and ending location of the load (lane) and number of stops.
  • The type of equipment needed (Tractor, flatbed, etc.)
  • The type of services needed with the truck (team, straps, blankets, etc.)
  • How much free space (in linear feet) you need
  • The rate you would pay (all in) to move the load
  • The schedule (days of week) the load will run.
When searching for a truck, you can filter the search by:
  • Starting and ending location of available trucks.
  • The type of equipment needed (Tractor, flatbed, etc.)
  • The type of services needed with the truck (team, straps, blankets, etc.)
  • How much free space is needed (in linear feet)
  • The rate you would pay (per mile) for the use of the truck
  • The schedule (days of week) the truck is available for use.
When searching a load, you can filter the search by:
  • Starting and ending location of the load (lane).
  • The type of equipment required (Tractor, flatbed, etc.)
  • The type of services required with the truck (team, straps, blankets, etc.)
  • How much free space (in linear feet) is needed
  • The rate the broker would pay (all in) to get the load moved.
  • The schedule (days of week) the load will run.

The new "Truckload and LTL Lane Posting System" has the following benefits:
  • Removes the need to tie a particular truck to a posting. Truck postings are now more generic.
  • Lanes of business can now be posted / managed better.
  • A "milk run" truck availability is easier to post. For example, a truck leaves Chicago at 7 a.m. with 20 free feet, arrives in Grand Rapids at noon and uses 10 feet of that space, then proceeds to Detroit to unload at 7 pm. Every Monday and Friday. You can create two load postings – one in Chicago at 7 am with 20 free feet every Monday and Friday, one in Grand Rapids at noon with 10 free feet every Monday and Friday.
  • The ability to post multiple lanes of new business loads and leave them posted for long periods of time.
  • The new posting system continues to work with the existing "sharing rules" process so subscribers know that only their "trusted partners" see their truck/load postings.
  • The new posting system links with Carrier Watch (truck postings) to provide current authorities, insurance and safety information about the carriers posting on the system.
  • The new posting system links with TransCredit (load postings) to provide current "days to pay" and "credit rating" about the companies posting loads on the system.

It just keeps getting better ... and the best is yet to come!
