Updated Method to Reserve a Pro #
This message is important for all AlliancePro and AllianceVF users.
We changed the way the “Reserve Pro #” function works so that it actually SAVES an order number. Until now, it just gave you the next order number.
Why would you use the “Reserve Pro #” feature?
- Sometimes customers are in a rush and they want to give you the basic information about the order and then get off the phone. The “Reserve Pro #” allows you to give the customer the Pro #, let them disconnect from the conversation, and allows you to continue to complete the order.
To “Reserve a Pro #”:
- Go into either the QUICK ORDER or NEW ORDER
- At the top left of the screen you will see the “Reserve Pro #” button.
- Click the “Reserve Pro #” button and it will get the next Pro Number, create an empty order, and give you the order number.
- If you navigate away from the screen without saving, the Pro# still exists and can be retrieved with the data up until the last time you saved.
If you reserve a Pro # and then navigate away from the screen without saving your data, how do you find the “SAVED” order number?
- Go to ORDERS and then MANAGE ORDERS
- In the “Status Type” drop down, select “Reserved – Not Used” as the status and set the “FROM” and “TO” dates to the proper date range.
- Click Search.
- The system will find all orders that were RESERVED and NOT USED. You can click on the order number to go into the order, update the data, and save as AVAILABLE.
