Make Use of Event Notification Emails
Do you want to make your customer more aware of all the great services you offer?
Do you want to market to your existing customers and grow your business with minimal cost?
Do you want to do this using a communication they already receive, read and use multiple times a day?
Today, Sylectus launched the new version of the “automated trip event e-mails”. These are the e-mails you send to your customers to keep them informed about the status of their shipments you are managing. Included in this new email format is a space where you can add a marketing message to your customers.
Here are some the features of the new event emails:
- The emails now show both the pick-up and delivery information.
- The emails are now formatted with tables and boxes and crisper fonts to look more professional for your customers.
- The emails include a section where you can market your business to your customers (the people receiving the email)
The event emails are sent to your customers based on the “rules” you establish in the Sylectus customer contact system. You can send these emails to one or many of your customers. The emails can be customized, by customer contact, to be sent on any or all of the following events:
- Order is booked into the system
- Order is dispatched to a truck
- Truck arrives at the pick-up point.
- Truck has been waiting at the pick-up point longer than your “waiting time” parameter, so send the customer a warning that waiting time charges may apply.
- Truck has loaded at the pick-up point with piece count, weight and Bill of Lading information.
- Optional – truck has arrived at the border (international shipments only)
- Optional – truck has departed the border (international shipments only)
- Truck arrives at the delivery point.
- Truck has been waiting at the delivery point longer than your “waiting time” parameter, so send the customer a warning that waiting time charges may apply.
- Truck has emptied the freight and the email will include the “proof of delivery” signature.
- Paperwork has been checked in.
Each email contains unique information associated with the event being reported against.
Each event email includes a “hot link” where the recipient of the email can click the “hot link” and be taken directly to the online “Track and Trace” for the load.
And now … each email can contain a “marketing message” to keep your customers informed about all the great services you offer. For example, this may be a marketing message you might consider including in your emails:
