Set Driver Pay on Planned Loads
When “planning” loads as “planned-held” or “planned-auto dispatch”, users can now set driver pay and, if they have the Qualcomm interface, send the driver pay to the truck.
When “planning” loads to trucks, users have the option of:
- Dispatch - Dispatching the load directly to the truck.
- Planned Hold - Planning the load on a truck, but do not auto dispatch – NEW – can set driver pay and send to driver via Qualcomm
- Planned Auto Dispatch – Planning the load to a truck that is already under load, and having the system automatically send the load to the truck once the prior load empties. – NEW – can set driver pay and send to driver via Qualcomm
- Offer – Send a load offer to the truck and await an ACCEPT or REJECT from the driver.
Until now, users could not set the driver pay for “Planned Hold” or
“Planned Auto Dispatch” loads until the load was actually dispatched to the
truck.
Here are the changes to the screens:
- When dispatching using the “Planned Hold” or “Planned Auto Dispatch”, you will now have a “SAVE AND SET PAY” button. This will allow you to save the dispatch and take you directly to the screen to set the driver pay.
- In Order Inquiry, all trips that are “Pre planned” will have the ability to set the driver pay by clicking on the “dollar sign” icon. If the driver pay has already been set on the “Pre Planned” trip, it will show in Order Inquiry” and the user can “drill down” on the pay amount to change the pay amount.
- Any time you see a truck that has “pre planned” loads, you can “drill into” the “Planned” link and see all the “pre planned” loads. If the truck is equipped with QUALCOMM, there will be a “dollar sign” icon beside the order number. If the “dollar sign” icon is RED, the driver pay has NOT been sent to the truck via Qualcomm. If the “dollar sign” icon is GREEN, the driver pay has been sent to the truck via Qualcomm.
- When sending the estimated driver pay to the driver via Qualcomm, the system will send both the driver pay and the base particulars about the load (pick-up and delivery dates, times, locations, loaded miles).
- There is a new option in the “trip types” drop down in order inquiry to filter all orders by PRE PLANNED.
Below are screen shots of the changes.

Thanks to the many, many users over the years who have asked for this
functionality including Jim Welch from Express-1, Ken Holder from
Load One (and Cindy and John too!), Doug McCuen from Specialty Delivery …
and the list goes on!
Thanks a ton.
