New Carrier Status
We have added a new CARRIER STATUS to the Sylectus system to help you manage your “outside carriers” better.
For each carrier you tag as “preferred”, you can now give them a status of:
- On Hold (for various reasons). This carrier cannot be used in dispatch.
- Pending Approvals. Means your company would like to use them but until the carrier is approved, they cannot be used in dispatch.
- Good to Use – means the carrier has passed your approval process AND can be used to dispatch loads to.
- Refused – Carrier does not meet your standards and cannot be dispatched to.
Currently, by default, all your “preferred carriers” have been set to a status of “GOOD TO USE”.
These new status codes allow your company an easier means to manage carriers you have defined to your preferred carrier list.
The following screens have been modified to take advantage of this new status code:
- When dispatching, only carriers defined as “Good to Use” will show up in the carrier list.
- When reviewing your CARRIER LIST, the carrier status will show immediately below the carrier name.
- If you drill into a carrier, you can now see/modify this new Carrier Status via a drop down in the profile.
- You can set the default “Carrier Status” to be used for any carrier defined as “preferred”.
See screen shots below for more information.
Thanks to Karl Randolph at The Outbound Group (OBX) for this suggestion.
